“For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” (vv.25–26)
Devotional Thought
Paul lifts our eyes to the cosmic reign of Christ, who will subdue every enemy, including death. His resurrection is not only personal hope—it’s the beginning of a kingdom that will never end.
Supporting Points
Christ is the firstfruits of resurrection.
His victory over death guarantees ours.
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept." (1 Corinthians 15:20, KJV)
Jesus will subdue every enemy.
He reigns now and will complete His victory at the end of time.
"The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." (Psalm 110:1, KJV)
All things will be subject to God.
Christ will one day deliver the kingdom back to the Father in perfect unity.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that You reign victorious over every enemy, including death. Help me live with kingdom hope, trusting that all things will one day be made new under Your rule. Amen.
